None of us get to this age without losing something or someone. Loss and how we navigate it is a keystone of aging. How do we keep going, honoring what we’ve lost but also being present to where we are now? Sharing and witnessing others’ losses is an important first step. In this workshop, we’ll explore parts of “self” that get activated around loss, especially when there’s more than one loss. We’ll also learn some specific exercises and guided meditations designed to help us get unstuck. Hopefully we can begin moving towards embracing and savoring all that we have gained in the lives we have lived. . .so far.

Our facilitator, Pamela Lowell, LICSW, a licensed clinical social worker, has over 40 years’ experience as a clinician, consultant, clinical director and trauma training specialist. She currently uses evidence-based modalities like EMDR and Internal Family Systems in her private practice with adults who are experiencing loss, health, sleep, relationship issues and stress/anxiety. A Coastal Neighbors volunteer, Pam is also author of four books, including My Summer with Ospreys: A Therapist’s Journey Toward Hope, Community and Healing Our Planet.

Open to service members, volunteers, and donors.
