About Coastal Neighbors

Coastal Neighbors is a membership-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people in Dartmouth and Westport “age in place.” Thanks to the commitment and support of our volunteers and a wide array of programs and events, we help our members stay connected to their communities and live safely, independently and actively. 

We provide options for continuing to live at home even if and when transportation, home maintenance and other daily activities become challenging. Our many social events, cultural and educational programs and support groups also assist in keeping our members active and engaged.

We are one of a growing number of “village” organizations across the U.S. Local villages like ours are all about neighbors caring for neighbors. We all share the goal of growing older with dignity in our homes and close to the people and activities we know and care about.
