Sleep and exercise are the cornerstones of health, yet so many of us older adults don’t get enough of either! Anxiety, loss, inertia and “overwhelm” can contribute to lack of energy and poor sleep. In this workshop we’ll explore new ways to get better sleep using “box breathing” and the “butterfly hug,” and how to make (and achieve goals) for important activities that will get you feeling healthier in no time.
Our facilitator, Pamela Lowell, LICSW, a licensed clinical social worker, has over 40 years’ experience as a clinician, consultant, clinical director and trauma training specialist. She currently uses evidence-based modalities like EMDR and Internal Family Systems in her private practice with adults who are experiencing loss, health, sleep, relationship issues and stress/anxiety. A Coastal Neighbors volunteer, Pam is also author of four books, including My Summer with Ospreys: A Therapist’s Journey Toward Hope, Community and Healing Our Planet.
Open to service members, volunteers, and donors.
